LOOKING BACK AT 2025. STEPPING INTO 2026

We’ve been thinking about 2025 lately.

It felt like one of those years where a lot happened, but you only really understand it after the fact. On the surface, it looked like we were just performing, showing up, doing what we do as Vocal Groove Collective.

But behind all of that, there was a lot of figuring things out.

There were some really good moments.

Times where everything clicked on stage, the energy felt right, and you could feel the audience with us. Those moments reminded us why we do this in the first place.

But there were also moments that weren’t as clear. Moments where we had to step back and ask ourselves what we were really building.

That was probably the biggest thing about 2025.

It forced us to be honest. Are we just performing… or are we creating something? Are we just going through the motions… or are we actually growing?

At some point during the year, we came across something from Tony Robbins — C.A.N.I., Constant And Never-Ending Improvement.

It stuck with us. Not in a big dramatic way. Just in the background. A reminder that we don’t have to have everything figured out. We just have to keep getting better.

And that’s what the year became.

Not perfect. Not smooth. But moving forward. Every performance, we adjusted something. Every challenge, we learned something. Even the uncomfortable moments… they pointed us in a better direction.

By the end of the year, something became clearer. We weren’t meant to stay where we were. Vocal Groove Collective was never just about performing songs. There was always something more behind it. We just hadn’t fully stepped into it yet.

Now coming into 2026, things feel different. Not because everything is suddenly easier. But because there’s more clarity. More intention. More direction.

We’re not just trying things anymore.

We’re building something.

And looking back, everything that happened in 2025 was leading to this. Even the parts that didn’t make sense at the time.

This is where things start to shift.
