As members of The Vocal Groove Collective (VGC), we commit ourselves to the following principles to protect our mission, our family-like culture, and the communities we serve:

1. Respect and Dignity

  • Treat all members, leaders, and volunteers with respect, kindness, and dignity at all times.
  • Celebrate each person’s contributions, regardless of background, skill level, or personal circumstances.

2. Integrity and Honesty

  • Act with integrity and uphold the highest ethical standards in rehearsals, performances, and interactions.
  • Speak truthfully and avoid gossip, backbiting, or actions that divide the group.

3. Responsibility and Accountability

  • Acknowledge responsibility for our actions, words, and decisions, and accept their consequences.
  • Be reliable and fulfill commitments to rehearsals, performances, and group initiatives to the best of our abilities.

4. Commitment to Community

  • Respect the festivals, audiences, and partners we serve, always bringing energy, joy, and professionalism.
  • Recognize and appreciate the contributions of organizations, sponsors, and individuals who help us achieve our mission.

5. Transparency and Fairness

  • Avoid favoritism, cliques, or conflicts of interest that may harm the group’s unity.
  • Make decisions openly and fairly, with the mission of VGC at the center.

6. Support and Compassion

  • Stand by one another in times of need, offering help and encouragement as a family would.
  • Create a safe and supportive space for all members to grow artistically and personally.

7. Positive Representation

  • Uphold the reputation of VGC by conducting ourselves professionally on and off stage, including in online and social media platforms.
  • Be ambassadors of joy, unity, and respect in every environment where VGC is represented.
