Rodney Ronquillo is the visionary founder and creator of the Vocal Groove Collective, a dynamic ensemble of vocalists and performers. A multi-talented artist with perfect pitch, he is a masterful songwriter, composer, arranger, singer, music producer, and music director whose electrifying performances span multiple genres. His deep-rooted passion for music and innovation has made him a driving force in the industry.

With 27 years of experience, Rodney has shared the stage with renowned artists worldwide and performed at prestigious international venues, including the MGM Grand Garden Arena and Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, as well as the Cleveland Public Auditorium. He has performed in front of tens of thousands, captivating audiences across the globe.

Rodney’s exceptional ear for music allows him to play almost any song by ear, effortlessly translating melodies into powerful performances. He has played in diverse genres, from cinematic orchestral scores to pop, rock, hard rock, heavy metal, new age, EDM, house, alternative, and Soca with steel drums. His ability to adapt across musical styles is rooted in his perfect pitch, allowing him to seamlessly transition from one genre to another without missing a beat. Rodney’s journey began in classical piano and transitioned into rock, blues, pop, and jazz piano, which has been instrumental in his ability to compose in nearly every genre.

A classically trained pianist, Rodney fast-tracked his piano education from Grade 3 to 9 within just one year at the Royal Conservatory of Music. His innate musical ability enabled him to play Ballade Pour Adeline with minimal reference to written sheet music, showcasing his deep musical intuition and technical prowess.

As a film scoring composer/arranger, Rodney has credits for films such as Return to Country, Haunted Hollywood, and Haunted Las Vegas, among others. He also contributed music to the Miami-based reality TV series “Whatever it Takes”, produced by Grant Cardone, New York Times Best-Selling Author of The 10X Rule. As a music and record producer, Rodney has composed, arranged, and directed music for numerous shows, films, and TV projects—including those featuring Keanu Reeves. His collaborations include working with industry icon David Foster and providing backing vocals for legendary Filipino artists such as Morissette, David Pomeranz, Martin Nievera, and Pops Fernandez.

Rodney also arranged music for David Pomeranz’s live performance at Toronto’s Fun Philippines festival and collaborated with the legendary Mon Torralba on Fun Philippines on Fire, an electro-house pop EDM anthem recorded by his wife, Chyrell.

In addition to his musical achievements, Rodney is an accomplished Senior Graphic Designer, Motion Graphics/VFX Artist, and Animator. He studied Fine Art, Design, Cinematography, and Videography at OCAD University, blending his artistic expertise with cutting-edge digital storytelling. His ability to seamlessly merge creativity with technology makes him a true multimedia renaissance man, continuously pushing the boundaries of music, design, and visual artistry.
