On a scorching 30+°C summer day, the Vocal Groove Collective turned up the heat even more at the prestigious Concert Stage at Harbourfront Centre during Fun Philippines Toronto 2025 — and what a show it was!
The event kicked off with a stellar performance by Kayleigh Cerezo, star of 13: The Musical on Netflix. She blew the crowd away with her unbelievable vocals and commanding stage presence, delivering a powerful set that left the audience in awe and set the tone for what was to come.
Then it was our turn.
For a full 45-minute set, VGC lit up the stage with high-energy choreography, powerhouse vocals, and nonstop crowd interaction. From the funky classic “Le Freak” to the dancefloor hit “Uptown Funk,” the audience was on their feet — and one lucky guest even won a prize for dancing non-stop from our second song to the last!
The performance featured:
Rodney Ronquillo, Chyrell Ronquillo, Rommel Sudan, Kuya Pabs Quiogue, Jhoana Valdez, Lalaine Osea, Marvs Fuentes, Jenifer Camacho, John Alix, JR Teodoro (newcomer), Antoinette Targa, Ailene Targa, and the exciting introduction of veteran fiddler Alex Cheung, whose violin added a fresh and dynamic layer of sound to our musical fusion.
